This is a homemade record. I made it using an old 1960s Concord Transistorized 220 model reel-to-reel recorder, sitting in my studio at the house.
This album features single take, guitar and voice recordings - no overdubbing, no production - just honest performances. On most of the songs I play an old Stella brand 3/4 sized guitar, the kind you usually see up on a wall at a TGIFriday's that you can pick up at a pawn shop for 10 bucks.
I love the sound of the recordings made on this machine, in some ways it's lo-fi but there's an awful lot of detail and the sound comes off as very intimate.
This record was recorded at home in December, 2003.

Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer... and iPhone-recording pioneer? Back in 2012, Chris Price found out that his new iPhone could be turned into a 4-track recorder... and this set was the result. Even better, the recording medium is irrelevant: "Homesick" is simply a great retro-power-pop album. Tim Walker
