lyrics

It came to me.
Arriving at a blinding speed.
For how long, who knows?
I'm trying hard to not let go.

I found my soul.
I've never had the well so full.
An overflow.
I've never had the well so full.

It comes in dreams.
It comes in drugs and alcohol.
Sometimes it seems
like reading writing on the wall.

I found my soul.
I've never had the well so full.
An overflow.
I've never had the well so full.

Now, after all of this time
finding my way in the dark.
Knowing the moment arrives
if I wait for the spark.

I changed the scheme
(it was AABB, now it's ABAB, baby),
but somehow I don't even care.
Sometimes it seems
like finding what's already there.

I found my soul.
I've never had the well so full.
An overflow.
I've never had the well so full.

I found my soul.
I'm trying hard to not let go.

credits

from Fidelity is the Enemy, track released July 17, 2001
Here's how I remember it:

Recorded and Mixed by John Anthony at MAJA Audio Group, Philadelphia, PA

Michael Aharon played 12 string electric guitar and leslied piano, John Anthony played drums. Mike Frank added space and lobbied against the loop. Shane Smith helped me record a demo version and moved to L.A.. I sang, played acoustic and electric guitars, the mellotron sounds, tambourine and sleigh bells.
